Sinotrans and Maersk Team Up on Automobile Shipping

    Chinese state-run integrated logistics provider Sinotrans has announced that it has signed a strategic agreement with Maersk Line to cooperate on logistics for Chery Jaguar Land Rover, a jv between UK-headquartered Jaguar Land Rover and Chinese automaker Chery.

    Under the agreement, Sinotrans, as the third party logistics provider for the project, has selected Maersk as the premiere shipping partner for the project.

    Sinotrans expects to ship 5000 feu of cargo through Maersk Line in 2015.

    According to Sinotrans, the two companies will also expand cooperation on feeder shipping in the coastal regions and Yangtze River region. (Ast)
