According to Presidential Regulation Number 106/2015 assigned PT Pelni to conduct subsidised the sea-toll ships, the company has been operating six routes since 2016. Tanjung Perak-Wanci-Namlea-Fakfak (Route 1), Tanjung Perak-Kalabahi-Moa-Saumlaki-Dobo-Merauke (Route 2), Tanjung Perak-Larantuka-Lewoleba-Rote-Sabu-Waingapu (Route 3), Tanjung Priok-Makassar-Manokwari-Wasior-Nabire-Serui-Biak (Route 4), Makassar-Tahuna-Lirung-Morotai-Tobelo-Ternate-Babang (Route 5), and Tanjung Priok- Tarempa-Natuna (Route 6).
Addition, PT Pelni has also serving tourism voyage with different destinations and improving its services such as entertainment, accommodation, and alternative packages like on-board-meeting. It is not only aimed to attract people to use sea transportation but also to drive it to be as prestigious as ground and air transportations.
